| BODY: Excellent original body. Repainted approx. 16 years ago and
is still very presentable with minor chipping and scratches. As far as rust goes,
the only spot I can see is some bubbling at the bottom of the A pillar on
the passenger side (see photo). Very clean car. All glass is good. Good chrome and
trim. Nice vinyl top. |
ENGINE: Newer early 1980's V12 engine has approx 30k miles on it. Runs and sounds excellent. |
TRANSMISSION: Original style automatic transmission. Shifts great. |
EXHAUST: Original type exhaust. Very quiet. |
| FRONT SUSPENSION: Original front suspension. |
| REAR SUSPENSION: Original rear suspension. |
| BRAKES: Original style. Brakes work great. |
| INTERIOR: Very nice dark red interior. Leather is supple. A few
buttons are missing their covers. All power windows work. A/C appears to need a recharge.
Very comfortable and elegant. |
| WHEELS/TIRES: Original chrome steel wheels and hubcaps. Older whitewall tires. |
| TRUNK: Very clean original trunk. No rust to speak of. Spare tire and jack included. |
| OVERALL CONDITION: Great driver that will get attention at the
local car shows. |
| SUMMARY: This is a beautiful and elegant Jaguar in a great color
combination. The XJ12C was only produced from 1975-1977 with a total production over those three years of
1,873 cars of which only 1,269 were left hand drive models like this one. This car is being sold by the long time (30 year) owner
who is just not using it as much as it should be. Only 59k original miles. Starts right up and runs great.
He had the V12 replaced with a newer one many years ago.
This is a great model and style that is rarely seen at car shows or on the streets.
