| BODY: 1 repaint many years ago. Some rust was repaired. Trunk pan was replaced and appears a section of the floorpans were as well. There are a few bubbles on the lower edges of the body (see photos). Originally a cashmere blue car, repaint is a little brighter blue than original. Stainless trim has dings but is all repairable. 1 piece "California" bumpers are straight but peeling from a cheap chrome job. All lights work including the reverse lights. |
ENGINE: 348 with a 4 bbl carb. New fuel pump. Runs, Sounds and Drives Good. |
TRANSMISSION: Original trans shifts fine. |
EXHAUST: New dual exhaust. |
COOLING: Recent radiator flush. Runs cool. |
| FRONT SUSPENSION: Original front suspension. New sway bar link kit. |
| REAR SUSPENSION: Original rear suspension. |
| BRAKES: Original drum brakes. Wheel cylinders recently rebuilt. New brake lines. Brakes work great. |
| INTERIOR: Original seats reupholstered in blue and white. Original front and rear side panels. Front and rear seat belts. Sunburnt carpet. Blue velour glued to dash pad. Temp and Fuel guage work great. Speedometer needle bounces and odometer does not work. Clock face is in the car but motor and needles are not. Perfect time for a quartz upgrade. All dash and interior lights work including glove box. Power top is not working. We are not yet sure if it is the switch or the motor but all parts are there and complete. Original AM radio works great. Horn works but has a button under the dash. |
| WHEELS/TIRES: Original steel wheels and hubcaps. Tires functional but old. |
| OVERALL CONDITION: This car is a great 20 footer that is completely functional as is or would make a great base for a full restoration or drive while you restore. |
| SUMMARY: This is a great 2 owner car that originated in Montana. A very complete and functional classic convertible that will get you many thumbs up as is. The current owner and her husband drove this car a few times with no issues to Hot August Nights in the mid 90's. I am selling this car for the widow of the second owner. It has been in storage for awhile and was recently gone through by a mechanic to get it roadworthy. Many possibilities with this one and with the values of these cars heading skyward I do believe these cars are a great investment. I drove this car over to do the photos and was impressed with how it drove, very smooth and with more torque than I would have expected from such a big car(I am a muscle car guy). My photo shoot went long due to people coming out of a wedding at the country club and asking a bunch of questions about the car. It was refreshing to have a classic car that had all lights working and functional without having to wiggle sockets or bang on the lenses. |
